FLIP FLOPS OF LOVE
FLIP FLOPS OF LOVE is a pledge to help those all around the Island who are affected by inadequate footwear through inspiration and donation. We go one full day each month without shoes or flip flops and donate new Flip Flops to the cause.
A GIFT AND A WARM MEAL
A GIFT AND A WARM MEAL is a pledge to feed Kids in need affected by poverty here in the islands and provide them with a warm meal and toy. Doing something nice for someone feels so good to us, but doing something for kids? That feels even better. Just think about all the cute little faces and bright smiles. Think about the tears that will disappear and the laughter and smiles that will emerge when a kid in need gets a warm meal and new toy.
MEET THE TEAM
We are a team of passionate individuals who like to give back, pay it forward and help those in need or less fortunate than ourselves. We are kind, caring, compassionate and highly motivated hard working yet at the same time fun, goofy creative characters that are bursting with life.
We are constantly looking for volunteers that want to help cook, serve food, hold up signs, raise funds and help bring Cilantros Soup Kitchen become a full fledge kitchen.
Michael David Cilantro.​ - HEAD CHEF
I am a skateboarder by day, artist & entrepreneur by night. I am a hard worker and determined to be successful in everything that I do. I am currently working on my brand and company Barker Skateboards and Apparel. I am passionate about my community, helping others, serving those in need, giving back whenever possible and Homelessness
advocacy and currently serve as community Advocate with a limited purpose, focusing all my energy on community issues and causes that focus in and around at-risk youth, houseless Ohana . kids and the skateboarding community.
Ekahi Star Cilantro.​ - Spokesmodel
I am the Face of Cilantro’s Soup Kitchen and Michael David Cilantro’s side kick and partner in crime. I am also the Face of Barker Skateboards and Apparel and I am a professional Skateboarder with two years experience. I am a model, hip hop advocate and love to be the center of attention.
I love playing fetch, hanging out with my owner at the office and spending time at the beach. I am a happy go lucky dog with an appetite for treats, snacks and homemade meals. My bark is far worse than my bite but cross my path and I may lick your face.
Wheels -Portable Kitchen
Wheels is our apprentice portable Soup Kitchen, who is still learning the trade and may suffer from mobility and kitchen functionality along the way! He enjoys traveling around the island with members of the team and has been to Waikiki, Ala Moana and the Honolulu Area just this year. His favorite activity is going off-road. One day he hopes to get an upgrade and meet Grave Diggers own Dennis Anderson .
